Week 1 Day 3

Science - TODAY is what I expected going into this virtual adventure. Straightforward - easy to follow and F-U-N! Not to mention 2 lessons finished after teacher Live Lesson - both before lunch. Busy morning  flew by because both VS & VSS were both engaged. [THANKS to PBSs' Sid the Science Kid, too!]

Frogs & Lily pad investigative science:
 Where do you place on the lilypad so frog doesn't get wet?

Scientific Method: Observe-Prediction-Plan-Conclusion

VS had to "test the boundaries" see what WOULD get the frog wet!

Then next Lesson was about two frogs a larger one and smaller and predicting which would jump farther and WHY? Reinforcement of the Scientific Method!

VS is feeling more sucessful - knowing we are "done" Science for the week.

50 minutes Live Lesson with VT (virtual teacher) VSS did Wii Carnival
Snack break and prep  then complete Lily pad experiment
20 minutes read and online options
